Morning: Bogd Khan National Park

In the morning, depart for Bogd Khan Mountain National Park, one of the oldest protected areas in the world. Upon arrival, visit the local museum to get an introduction to the park, its history, and its wildlife.

After the museum visit, begin your hike to the Bogd Khan Mountain peak at 2,268 meters above sea level.

Midday: Mountain Summit & Lunch

Reach the summit and enjoy a hearty lunch with panoramic views overlooking Ulaanbaatar and the surrounding landscapes. Take time to relax and appreciate the fresh air and stunning scenery.

Afternoon: Manzushir Monastery

In the afternoon, visit the historic Manzushir Monastery, located at the foot of Bogd Khan Mountain.
Learn about its fascinating history:

• Construction began in the 1730s

• Once home to 21 temples and over 500 monks

• Destroyed during Stalin’s purges in the 20th century

• Placed under state protection in 1998

Today, the restored Lavrin Temple functions as a museum, and you can see a massive bronze cooking pot once used to prepare meals for 1,000 monks.

Late Afternoon: Nature & Wildlife

Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and breathtaking scenery of the park. Watch marmots playing or sparring in their natural habitat before concluding the day.
