Mongolian Great Gobi tour takes you through glamorous Yolyn Am-Ice gorge, magnificent Flaming cliff and magical Singing sand dunes-Khongoryn Els. The Gobi is the focal point and its astonishing natural beauty and exotic wild life attracts everyone’s attention. The Gobi, as the end of great Altai mountain range, is now home to last remaining two humped wild camels, newly introduced yaks, small population of Gobi bear, bearded vulture, Mongolian wild ass and snow leopard.

6-Day Gobi Desert Adventure

Day 1: Ulaanbaatar – Tsagaan Suvarga
Begin your great adventure with a drive to Tsagaan Suvarga, stunning white rock formations rising up to 60 meters high. Sculpted by wind over time, the cliffs resemble the ruins of an ancient city.

Day 2: Tsagaan Suvarga – Yolyn Am
Travel to Yolyn Am (Ice Gorge), where you can experience a natural refrigerator even during the Gobi’s steaming hot days. Visit the local museum to learn about the region and its wildlife.

Day 3: Yolyn Am – Khongor Sand Dunes
Drive through the dramatic Ice Gorge before reaching Khongor Sand Dunes, the largest sand dunes in Mongolia, reaching up to 300 meters in height and stretching 130 km in length.
Visit a camel-herding family, enjoy a camel ride to the dunes, and climb to the summit. Watch the sunset from the top with a bottle of wine as billions of stars appear overhead.

Day 4: Khongor Sand Dunes – Flaming Cliffs
Travel to the magnificent Flaming Cliffs (Bayanzag), globally known as the “Land of Dinosaurs,” where the first scientifically recognized dinosaur eggs were discovered. Admire the vast open plains stretching endlessly to the horizon.

Day 5: Flaming Cliffs – Baga Gazriin Chuluu
Explore the unique rock formations and natural beauty of Baga Gazriin Chuluu. Visit the hidden ruins of an ancient Buddhist temple nestled among the granite rocks.

Day 6: Baga Gazriin Chuluu – Ulaanbaatar
Return to Ulaanbaatar. Enjoy time for cashmere or souvenir shopping before attending the spectacular Tumen Ekh Folk Performance, featuring throat singing, contortion, and traditional musical instruments. After the performance, transfer to your hotel.
